French Toast and Vintage Ferragamo, Oh My...
Woke up early and decided to travel to Old Town in Alexandria, VA with my best friend to do a little vintage treasure hunting. Our day began with french toast (my favorite) and afterwards ended with me finding vintage Salvatore Ferragamos hidden in the attic of this cute vintage boutique. They told a story of boardrooms conquered and streets paved by the woman who once owned these chic pieces of history. Oh how well put together she must have been to have kept such neutral colored shoes in such superb conditions.
Just like my eye candy career woman designer shoes, Old Town had so much character and class. And, although it was my first time visiting this amazing place, I had a nostalgic feeling of maybe I'd been there before, in a dream or in a past life. Either way, it was totally magical. Though I didn't buy the vintage Ferragamos (I don't wear woman's shoes), I did however find an amazing concrete colored cardigan for $4 (pictured above). All and all a well spent Wednesday afternoon.
